Project Kitchen: Mee Pok Goreng...(and Some More Food)

Hellow love...;)

When my parents came over a few months ago, I asked if it's possible for them to bring me mee kolok from Kuching as I ala-ala mengidam la. Rindu wehh, mana nak carik kat KL ni right?

Instead, they brought along instant/dried mi kolok, as well as mee pok and kampua mee. Looked like I have to find my own recipe and attempt to cook them myself la. But then again, nasib baik jugak they brought the dried ones as they can last much longer, and I only remebered to start cooking them yesterday heheheh...

This is how dried mee pok looks like when it's still dalam bungkusan. You just need to blanch it in boiling water to soften it and get rid of the excess flour and kanji.

Basically, they're all egg noodles, and because they all shaped differently, just like pasta, they ended up with different names. Anyway, I just fried them yesterday morning. Simple je, main campak-campak je bahan. The condiments that I added in were only finely sliced cabbages as vege and then meat balls and a leftover fried chicken wing as main attraction. Served it with fried shallots.

This became my brunch and late noon meals yesterday. By night I wasn't feeling hungry pun, so I skipped dinner.

However, later last night, I still whipped up some stuff in my kitchen, basically just prepared food as my bekal to the office today. They were dory fillet baked in teriyakky sauce, and french bean and lobak masin stir-fried in seafood sauce.

Once I was done with those lauks, extra rajin pulak so I baked another batch of the multigrain cereal cookies. This time I also added honey and sunflower seeds which I got the other day. best jugak, happy to know that It's really really fibrous and healthy cookie to feed my sweet tooth. Sorry yer takde gambar:)..Bukan apa, I made those also time tengah nervous waiting for the last game of the football season, so malas nak ambik gambar.

Chelsea won the title:(..But it's OK..let other teams merasa jadik champions jugak la..:)

Till then...always GLORY GLORY MAN UNIIIIIIIIITEDDD! GLORY GLORY MAN UNIIITEEDDD! GLORY GLORY MAN UNITTTEEDD GLORY GLORY MAN UNIIIITTEDDD AS THE REDS GO MARCHING ON! ON! ON!...
